A fine celebration of all things British
Ladies of the WI celebrated their pride for Britain at the annual Lancashire Federation WI County Show.
Clubs came together for a real British affair, re-capturing highlights of 2012 including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to the London Olympics and Paralympics.
Garstang Country Hotel and Golf Club was transformed, with over 2,500 exhibits and displays from foods and home-made delights to the talents of artists and craft makers on display. The event, now in its 11th year at Garstang, pulled in more than 1,000 visitors.
Committee member Pam Wade said: “It has been another excellent show. The standard was so high and we had many members giving it a go for the first time.”
